The Paddle Type Water Flow Switch is designed to provide excellent performance where accuracy, reliability, and rugged construction are required used in liquid flow lines carrying water or any fluid neither harmful to brass and phosphor bronze nor classified as a hazardous fluid. They can be wired to close one circuit and open the second circuit when liquid flow either exceeds or drops below the adjusted flow rate.

Application :A paddle type flow switch is used to detect flow or no flow in a horizontal / vertical pipe line. Their electricalsignals can be used to generate an Alarm, safe guard a pump from dry run, shower systems, central heatings ystems, air conditioning / ventilation units & also digital outputs to a PLC or electronic control units.

Principle of Operation :The flow of liquid in the pipeline forces the paddle to move in the direction of the flow. The flow required(LPM or LPH) to actuate the paddle de pends on the line size. A magnet attached to the top of the paddleoperates a reed switch, hence giving a potential free output.

Product Description For Flow SwitchThe Flow Switch series flow switch is a rugged model & operates in any mounting position. As the liquid flow increases it displaces a magnetic piston which operates a hermetically sealed reed switch which is mounted externally.When flow decreases a stainless steel spring returns the piston to its original position and de-actuates the reed switch.

The reed switch assembly is movable to allow the customer to set the cutoff flow rate as per his requirement provided it is within the range specifiedon the instrument. The adjustment does not effect the flow path, thereforepressure drop is not influenced when changing set-points. This model isideally suited for high pressure applications.
